Men's Golf
The $85 MGA fee will primarily be used for hosting a Men's Kickoff event and a season ending Golf Event & Awards Banquet. Also, $10 of the $80 fee is allocated to the Hole-in-One club. The money collected for the MGA will be used by the discretion of the Men's Golf Committee and is not a club fee. The MGA not only begins and ends the year with a bang but will instill a sense of commitment and camaraderie by the men who frequently participate in events and those that may only play a few times. We can all share in the excitement of the "club experience" through a season opening and season closing party.The Men's Program also includes: Thursday golf (12:30 and 5:30), and weekly Saturday morning events.

Come on out to the club and start the Men's Golf Season out on the right foot…with a barrel party! Groups of 8 will be filling divots and drinking beer from 4:30 to 5:30, and our regular 9 hole golf event will begin at 5:30. Who knows when the festivities will end…so set the Thursday precedence early and go home late…what a great 2012 season to look forward to!

Guy's Night Out continues to be a huge success (thanks in part to Past President "Mr. Thursday Night" Aldo Madrigrano)! The format will be team quota points, and hole events, with the Golf Shop doing the pairings. Included in the entry fee will be prizes, a keg of beer and a buffet which varies each week (pizza, taco bar, wings, etc…). So, come on out to play golf, trash talk, eat, float the keg and stick around for some cards…Thursday is Guy's night so there is no curfew!

Van De Velde Consolation Bracket - Saturday, June 29 at Bristlecone. Teams who lose their first round matches in the Black & Tan can choose to play in a one-day consolation tournament on Saturday, June 30th. This tournament will be an 8 a.m. Shotgun at Bristlecone, and all teams will play 2-man best ball format at 80% handicap, which guarantees every member two rounds in the Black & Tan Tournament. The Black & Tan draws our largest field of the year…don't miss it!

The Shield & Stone is The Legend's Signature two-day Member/Guest Event. The field is open to 54 two man teams. Each team is put into a flight, based upon total combined team handicap, and each team will be able to showcase both facilities for their guest during this great event! Each flight winner then plays in a shootout to determine the overall winner of the event. The event is topped off Saturday night with a spectacular dinner dance for all participants and their wives. The Shield & Stone is the classic Member/Guest event!

The event ends with a steak dinner fit for a king and cards. Does it get any better than that?

Stroke Play Club Championship

Every club has a champion... we now have 12! The club championship is put into 11 flights of 16 players and 1 flight of 32 players aptly named after "Legends of Golf": Payne Stewart, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Sam Snead, Ben Crenshaw, Gene Sarazen, Tom Watson, Andy North, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, Byron Nelson, and Walter Hagen. The player's handicap ultimately decides which flight they will compete in and each match plays is played off the low handicap (except for the Stewart Flight). So tee it up and become part of history as a Club Champion no matter what flight! First round matches will be played at both facilities. Championship Flight will play all matches at Bristlecone; other flights will be assigned by the Pro Shop. For all matches other than first round, course will be determined by mutual agreement or a coin flip by the Pro Shop.

The Memorial Cup

The Legend at Bristlecone
The Memorial Cup, named in honor of Bristlecone Pines Founding Member Ken Adams, is an annual event pitting club members against each other in a form of Ryder Cup team matches. This year's honoree will be Dr. James Stowell, and we will once again have a ceremony in his honor, planting a tree on the golf course. This format embodies the spirit of sportsmanship, competition, and camaraderie that Ken Adams stood for. The format will be 3 9-hole matches, Brandybrook Head Golf Professional David Bobber captaining one team and Bristlecone Head Golf Professional Paul LoCicero captaining the other. The Adams Cup is best described as a one day NET Legend Cup. Legend Members can qualify for The Memorial Cup with their Blue Tee scores in our Thursday and Saturday games as well as rounds in the Stroke Play Club Championship.
