

The Men's Golf Schedule is comprised of 10 "Majors": Mercedes Dealer Championships, Black & Tan, President's Cup Member/Member, June Legacy, Match Play Club Championship, Shield & Stone, August Legacy, Stroke Play Club Championship, The Tradition, & Adams Cup.A Legend golf member must be a member of the MGA to participate in any of the 10 "majors".
The Men's Program also includes: Thursday golf (12:30 and 5:30), and weekly Saturday morning events.

Come on out to the club and start the Men's Golf Season out on the right foot…with a barrel party! Groups of 8 will be filling divots and drinking beer from 4:30 to 5:30, and our regular 9 hole golf event will begin at 5:30. Who knows when the festivities will end…so set the Thursday precedence early and go home late…what a great 2010 season to look forward to!

Guy's Night Out continues to be a huge success (thanks in part to Men's Golf Committee Chair Aldo "Mr. Thursday Night" Madrigrano)! The format will be team quota points, and hole events, with the Golf Shop doing the pairings. Included in the entry fee will be prizes, a keg of beer and a buffet of some sort (pizza, taco bar, wings, etc…). So, come on out play, trash talk, eat, float the keg and stick around for some cards…Thursday is Guy's night so there is no curfew (what time did your wife get home on Wednesday Night?)!

For the fifth consecutive year, The Legend has been chosen by Mercedes as the only club in Metro Milwaukee to host their Mercedes Dealer Championships. The winning team advances to the Mercedes National Championship. This year, we are proud to host the Mercedes Dealer Championships at both facilities. Half of the participants will tee off at 10 a.m. at Bristlecone, and will then return to watch the finish at Brandybrook. The winning team(s) from Bristlecone advance to the shootout at 5 p.m. to play the Brandybrook winning team(s). The playoff-winning team advances to the Regional Championship to play for a chance to compete in the National Championship in Augusta during Masters Week in 2011. Don't miss this one...Mercedes also supports cocktail hour & cookout lunch.

The field is limited to 60 two man teams and the format is a 6-6-6, 6 holes – Better Ball of Partners, 6 holes – Scramble and 6 holes – Shamble. The stipulated round ends with a 120 player stampede…yes that's right a 120-some going down the first hole... 20 teams of 6 players each playing for cash payouts to the top 3 teams. The event ends with a steak dinner fit for a king, cards, dice throwing and "Bobber-lotta Fireworks." Does it get any better than that?

Every club has a champion... we now have 12! The club championship is put into 12 flights of 16 players aptly named after "Legends of Golf": Payne Stewart, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Sam Snead, Ben Crenshaw, Gene Sarazen, Tom Watson, Andy North, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, Byron Nelson, and Walter Hagen. The player's handicap ultimately decides which flight they will compete in and each match plays match play off the low handicap (except for the Stewart Flight). So tee it up and become part of history as a Club Champion no matter what flight! First round matches will be played at both facilities. Remaining matches determined by mutual agreement.

This is The Legend's Signature two-day Member/Guest Event. The field is open to 80 two man teams. Each team is put into a flight, based upon total combined team handicap, and each team will be able to showcase both facilities for their guest during this newly expanded 3-day event! Each flight winner then plays in a shootout to determine the overall winner of the event. The event is topped off with a spectacular dinner dance Saturday night for all participants and their wives. The Shield & Stone is the classic Member/Guest event!

We started the year right and we are going to end the year right…the MGA will be hosting golf (limited to 120), dinner and cocktails (limited on the cocktails) along with a presentation of the season's event champions. Golf format will be the Beat the DOG format with prizes to the winners. After golf, head back out on the course and watch our Assistant Golf Professionals compete in the "Shop Shootout." Later in the evening, major event winners will be presented their trophies in grand style. Every MGA member attending wins a fabulous door prize (thousands of dollars of Golf Shop merchandise will be given away)! The best part is…other than your golf entry… you have already paid for the party, so you might as well enjoy the party... even if you didn't win... smile and gain comfort in knowing that you donated to all the winners for the year (and start some serious trash talking for 2011).

The Adams Cup, named in honor of Bristlecone Pines Founding Member Ken Adams, is an annual event pitting club members against each other in a form of Ryder Cup team matches. This format embodies the spirit of sportsmanship, competition, and camaraderie that Ken Adams stood for. The format will be 3 9-hole matches, with each team captained by a member of our Golf Professional Staff. The Adams Cup is best described as a one day NET Legend Cup.

Cross Country Golf
